Xplor Gym is thrilled to announce the successful go-live of its first customer in New Zealand, Shane Cameron Fitness, marking a significant milestone in our Australia/New Zealand expansion. The seamless transition has been met with excitement and positive feedback from the team at Shane Cameron Fitness, who are already seeing the benefits of our cloud-based gym management system.

Shane Cameron Fitness is a busy, family-run gym based in Northcote, Auckland. With fitness classes suitable for everyone, the team at Shane Cameron Fitness specialise in boxing, functional fitness, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes, along with 6 Week Transformation Challenges, personal training options and special classes for kids. The team were looking for an all-in-one management solution, that would allow them to run their busy gym more efficiently and get more time back in their day-to-day.
A Smooth Migration
The initial migration process was smooth, with minimal disruption to daily operations. “The migration went well; everything was migrated behind the scenes, with minimal actions or involvement from us as a club,” added Casey. “The members who tested the new membership app are loving how easy it is to book classes and track progress stats.”
Account Manager Jarra Bailey and Product Manager Sumit Punwani from Xplor Gym were on-site to support the Shane Cameron Fitness team during the transition, making sure it was a smooth and stress-free experience. “As a club, we felt really supported during the whole process. Having Jarra and Sumit on-site during migration also helped resolve most of the queries we had quickly,” said Casey.
Intuitive, Easy to Use Booking, Point-of-Sale, and Membership Management
The team at Shane Cameron Fitness have found the Xplor Gym platform intuitive and easy to use, significantly speeding up most of their day-to-day tasks. “Previously, simple tasks took a really long time and were often a challenge to complete, we had to look through so many places and clicks to find things,” Casey exclaimed when navigating the Point-of-Sale module. “Now, it’s just click and go! It is so simple to find what we need, and the support team are super helpful when we can’t resolve issues in-house.”
The integration of online enquiry and booking forms into Xplor Gym has been particularly well-received by the Shane Cameron Fitness team. These forms, which are embedded directly on the gym’s website, automatically capture leads and feed them into the Xplor Gym platform eliminating the need for external tools like Excel to manage member enquiries and tour bookings. “This is cool, and will help me partially get off Weebly,” Casey noted. The team also expressed enthusiasm for the new member pathways, task management, and single 360° view of every member. These features will make it easier for the team to manage bookings, sales, and billing, and stay completely up to date with every membership.
With everything now under one roof, Shane Cameron Fitness is looking forward to much more efficient operations. “There are loads of benefits that come with our new Member Management System. The best being that it has fixed a number of pain points for both our staff and our members.” said Casey.
